London: Burns & Oates, 1954. First Edition, First Impression . Cloth Bound Boards. Very Good/Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 1954 First edition, first impression. Size octavo, 190 pages including index. Crimson cloth covered boards with blue titles to the spine, top page edge crimson, with dust jacket. Book condition very good, very slight rub to corners and spine ends, very neat previous owner's name to front end-paper, a few faint spots to end-papers else contents clean. Dust jacket condition fair, the jacket is in two pieces, the front panel and spine one piece and the rear panel, corners and spine ends are rubbed and chipped, there are 5 large tears in the spine and part of the spine is barely still handing on, spine and upper edges of panels sunned, price clipped. With frontispiece of Bonaventure Giffard, Bishop of Madaura, and 2 other portraits on art paper, James Smith (Calipolis) and George Witham (Marcopolis), map of the 4 districts of England and Wales,
