George H. Doran, January 1926. First Edition. Hardcover. Fair - Cash/No Jacket. Colophon under the copyright date. General surface and edge wear to the cover. Light soiling to the cover. Discoloration to the spine. The corners have been bumped. Boards are exposed in the corners and along the bottom edge of the back cover. The cover is beginning to fray where the boards are showing. The binding has a slight tilt. There's a tear at the top edge of the spine that reveals a bit of the boarding beneath. There are several cracks in the spine throughout the book. Both hinges are broken. An excerpt about the author and the book has been glued to the first free endpage. Previous owner's name inside. Pages show reader and age wear. There are several cracks in the spine throughout the book. There are a few tears in the cracks that are beginning to show the netting. Binding is still tight and pages are secure. **Includes 'Black Country', which was later replaced by 'Uncle Reuben' in the 1928 British publications. Stock photos may not look exactly like the book.
