About This Item
London : Hodder and Stoughton A very copy of this classic work with 24 tipped in colour plates and numerous black and white illustrations and designs by Kay Nielson. Undated but circa 1924 (there is an ink inscription on the fep dated 1924) and the third issue of this work by Hodder. The deep yellow cloth binding has black titles and blue and black design to front board, and black titles to spine. The binding is bright and clean with slight dulling to edges. The spine is a little cocked to the front and faded, with light pulling to spine ends. The back board has some light marking in the middle. Top page edges are yellowed. There is a small area of marking at the bottom page edge not visible internally. The contents are complete and in very good clean condition with bright text and plates. There is light marking in the gutter and bottom of p89; a slight mark in the gutter and top of p236 and light spotting at the bottom of p283/4. Please enquire if you would like to see additional images to further assess condition.
