The top back corner is bumped and carries over to the dust jacket corner that is tape repaired, as wll as the last 30 pages. No other defects noted to an otherwise bright tight book This book sets the standard for a beginning level overview of AI today. And by expressing AI theory in programs written with the new standard, Common LISP, this version promises to remain the pivotal introduction for many years to come. The primary objective of the book is to provide an up-to-date and coherent introduction to the principles and programming methods of artificial intelIigence. Unlike other texts, this book, using Common LISP integrates the presentation of principles with actual runnable Common LISP illustrations. There are enough fraction of these ideas in fully presented Common LISP programs to allow the student to gain enough intuition through experiment to support an understanding of all the principles covered. Programs are short, understandable, and easily workable for the beginner. Included are discussions of expert systems, and vision knowledge representation. This is an effective AI learning package that sets the standard. Large heavy book that may incur additional charges for Priority Shiopping to some locations.
