Occasional footnotes. Small excess of paper at bottom of pages 1397/1398 trimmed away. Small corner piece of pages 1399/1400 missin--no loss of text. No dust jacket as issued. Marginal ink marks and some underlining noted. Front cover worn and soiled, with tears at bottom staple area. Among the information contained is History of the Farben merger 1926; Statement by dr. von Schnitzer on Farben's wartime expansion; Overseas exports of Farben during wartime; History of the Military Liaison Office; Industrial Mobilization, and report on conferences at German Military command in Paris. There is also information on damage to Farben plants. This was one of several fact-finding hearings on the economic base for German aggression. This material is related to a report on the investigation of I.G. Farbenindustrie Aktiengesellschaft, Frankfurt am Main, German. This investigation was one of a series initiated by Financial Branch, G-5, USFET and the Finance Division, United States Group Control Council with respect to the international asset position of Germany. A basic purpose of this investigation was to uncover the nature and location of the far-flung and carefully concealed external assets of I. G. Farben. The exhibits includes tables, statistics, analysis of profits, research expenditures, etc.
