Comprising of 60 'emblems' over five books which feature newly engraved versions of the original allegorical pictures along with Quarles' verse paraphrasing the related biblical text. Full leather with elaborate gilt decoration to spine and cover. All edges gilt. 32mo. Rubbing to edges of leather. Bumping to corners. Previous owner's name in pencil to ffep. Contents clean and tight. Very good.
