Volume 8 in the Creole Language Library. 352 pages, with appendix, bibliography and list of contributors. Book is divided into two sections - Part 1 Texts: that presents transcripts "in dialect" of eleven oral interviews with former slaves; and Part 2 Commentary that gathers nine essays on the linguistic analysis of the texts from Part 1.
