About This Item

New York: Carnegie Center for International Peace, 1943. Stapled wraps. Very good. [34p.] From the preface: A reprint of an essay written in 1693 by Penn, founder of Pennsylvania, in which he "proposed the establishment by the European nations of a general diet or parliament and a code of justice to govern the relations of the member States and thus bring about peace." A "seven-point 'declaration of world peace' made public on October 7, 1943," with "three separate preambles describing the Catholic, Jewish, and Protestant approaches to the problem and by the list of those who signed the declaration."
