Fair/No Jacket. 12mo. 480 pages; First American edition of this book originally published in London in 1859; Cloth covers are worn and are frayed at spine ends; There is a one inch closed tear in the cloth from the spine head down the joint of the front cover and spine; Corners are bumped; End pages are a little discolored, and a blank front end page has been torn fron the book; One word in text on page 263 has been neatly cut out, also affecting text line on verso page, 264; Volume remains tight, and is otherwise clean and intact.`
