London: Nicholson and Watson, 1949. This First Edition of Volume II would be in Fine condition except for one-half inch of fading at the spine tip crown (where there was a dust jacket chip). The unclipped dust jacket is in Very Good condition, with some chipping and light soiling. (Click on photos.) This second book in the series deals with the start of the Japanese War to the arrival under the guns of Malta of Italy's "sugar-cake" navy. The book measures 6 by 8 3/4 inches and includes 270 pages, with an Appendix showing Losses of Principal Warships.. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
