London: Collins, 1964. First edition. Cloth. Very Good Indeed/Very Good. 8" by 5.5". None. A first edition novel by Thomas Armstrong. "In this book [Armstrong] tells of another Yorkshire, further removed in time but still, as she has always been, the greatest of English counties." "Thomas Armstrong paints the high middle ages with the same colour and zest that he brings to his novels of modern life." In an orange cloth binding with gilt lettering to the spine, in an unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, generally smart. Some minor shelfwear to the boards. Corners are slightly bumped and there is some minor wear to the top and tail of the spine. Dustwrapper is sound with slight rubbing. There are some closed tears to the spine and some damp staining. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean. Very Good Indeed
