Emeryville, CA:: Havilah Press,, 2002.. Edition of 150. 5 7/8 x 8 7/8" 56 pp. This book was printed on Zerkall Book using a Vandercook and photopolymer plates. It is hand bound in cream colored linen with blue Fabriano Roma paper over boards. Every effort was make to preserve the integrity of Alice's letter from the appearance of the type and illustrations to the cover paper. The book includes eight figures in the foreward and a fold out panorama of Yosemite Valley. The author was 27 in 1871 when she traveled from NY to CA to tour Yosemite Valley. She entrusted her brother with a letter to her mother describing the trip. The original manuscript was printed by jobbers Horton & Leonard for private distribution and apologized to the author for publishing the letter without her knowledge or permission. Very few copies of the original pamphlet survived.
