Appears to be original binding with white paper spine and green paper covered hard boards. Boards are rubbed and worn, joints are cracking, spine covering perishing, hand lettered title to spine. Interior rough cut edges a bit brown and crisped, occasional check marks at various entries, bit shaken but still holding and usable. Substantially revised from earlier editions. Very detailed instructions on what to plant and what to do on a farm in England throughout the 12 months of the year, includes information on enriching soils, rotating crops, best crops for different types of soil, etc. Also includes information on farm animals including cows, teams, breeds of sheep, hogs, putting rams to ewes, poultry, fatting beasts. Also how to do farm accounts, tables of expences, tests for the analysis of water, recipes for treatment for "strong gullion", rheumatism, Burdon's horse ointment, a catalogue of farming implements, synopsis of breeds of sheep, books to buy (including prices), chemistry and a table of comparative prices of wool. Everything you need to know to farm 200 years ago. ; 8vo - over 7" - 9" tall .
