About This Item
London, Edinburgh, and New York: Thomas Nelson and Sons, 1890. Crona Temple (pseudonym of Clara Lavinia Cornfield, 1846-1916) was a prolific author of children's books. This is a Very Good copy of one of her few books that were not published by a religious house (this the only one seen by Quercus]. An uncommon to scarce title. Blue decorative cloth binding with titling in black and gilt; the titling on the spine is gilt, with a figure in black. Clean text; 115 pages, with an eight-page catalog in the rear. Frontis illustration, with six others within. Mild bumps and light rubbing and soil; the spine has darkened but the gilt remains bright. The rear cover has a bit of bubbling. A solid copy of this outlier.. First Edition. Decorative Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
