Oxford: Oxford at the Clarendon Press 1961. (Hardcover) 775pp. Very good in very good dust jacket. Black cloth with gilt lettering and crest on the spine. Abbreviations, errata, notes, bibliography, index, fold-out maps. The spine of the dust jacket is lightly soiled and has two puncture marks, there is a small scratch on the spine, and a previous owner's name in ink on the front fixed endpaper. "In recent years historians of Lancastrian and Yorkist England have paid increasing attention to its society and institutions. The present work aims at a restatement under narrative form of English history in the light of this study, although many of the conclusions must still remain provisional.... At the centre, of, and integral to, the story are chapters on the orders of men, upon economic life and governmental administration". Time Period 15th Century. Locale: England.
