No previous owner or remainder marks.<br /> <br /> Dominique Lapierre (born 1931 in France) is a French author well known for Freedom At Midnight about the events surrounding Indian independence. His co-author Larry Collins was an American writer born 1929, Hartford, Connecticut, later married to Nadia Sultan- d. 2005 in Fréjus, France. Shortly before Collins' death, he again collaborated with Lapierre on Is New York Burning (2005).<br /> <br /> The Fifth Horseman describes a terrorist attack on New York masterminded by Libya's Colonel Gaddafi. The book created such a shocking effect that the French President cancelled the sale of nuclear reactors to Libya. In addition, Paramount Pictures dropped their plan to make a movie based on the book out of concerns that fanatics mitght emulate the book's scenario!
