Synopsis

Pearl Buck wrote this biography of her father, an American missionary in China. Renamed Andrew in the book, Buck's father was sent out to China in 1879 just after graduating seminary school. He spent much of his time there translating the Bible into the various forms of Chinese to extend the reach of the mission.
