231pp. with 14 Pen and Ink drawings and 19 maps & diagrams, plus 39 b/w plates (1 map, 1 folded battle plan, 2 plans, 3 Pen and Ink drawings, 4 from Oil Paintings and 28 with 43 photos). Only once did the German and British navies meet during WWI and that was at Jutland in 1916, the battle-- because of poor communications, bad weather and bad luck-- became a rambling, confused, bloody affair with both sides claiming victory. The personal experiences of sixty officers and men of the British fleet in the largest naval battle of World War I, which took place off the northernmost tip of Denmark in 1916.
