Paris: Le Film illustre, 1962. Original French magazine focusing on contemporary international film, actors and actresses, and persons behind the scenes, like set decorators and directors. French text throughout. Italian actress Gina Lollobrigida graces the front wrapper, and Frida Boccara on the rear wrapper.
Color centerfolds were also featured, and this issue sports a full-color spread of youthful actors Martine Havet and Joselito. Other films and personalities reviewed in this issue include Tony Curtis, "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance," Julien Duvivier's "The Devil and the Ten Commandments," Robert Enrico, Ingmar Bergman's "Through a Glass Darkly," Guy Noel, "Mutiny on the Bounty," jazz and other film music, Line Renaud, "Sundays and Cybele," George Chakiris, "Charge of the Black Lancers," Pierre Perrin, "Damn the Defiant!," Norman McLaren, and even a horoscope at the rear.
10.25 x 13.5 inches, side-stapled in color wrappers, black-and-white throughout, 18 leaves. Very Good plus. Uncommon.
