Hard cover 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall in red patterned boards, white spine medallion w/black titles and dec., green topstain. Fine book in About Fine unclipped DJ w/ stained spine, now in clear protective cover. Published under the name of "John Ross" Macdonald, so he would not be confused with John D. Macdonald, a veteran Knopf Author. John D. still unhappy, so he dropped the "John" and just went by "Ross" after this. A Lew Archer mystery, set in southern California. 215pp. Early title in very nice condition.
Synopsis
Ross Macdonald died in 1983.
