New York: Viking, 1943. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. Second Printing.. The DJ is unclipped, "Regular Edition $5" Bright blue clothe binding with clear gilt cover and spine lettering, unfaded. There is a neat owner name on the front endpaper, tight and clean. The DJ spine is a bit darkened with some spots. Seldom seen in the DJ. Included with the book is a NY Times original newspaper article by Michiko Kakutani entitled "After Joyce, There's No World Without Joyce" from Jan. 31, 1982. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
Synopsis
Finnegans Wake is a work of comic fiction by Irish author James Joyce, significant for an experimental style and its resulting reputation as one of the most difficult works of fiction in the English language. Written in Paris over a period of 17 years, and published in 1939, two years before the author's death, Finnegans Wake was Joyce's final work. -
