Philadelphia: J. B. Lippincott & Co., 1937. Unpaginated. Limited edition: #141 of 150 copies, signed on the colophon page by Schaldach. The frontispiece is an original etching pencil-signed by Schaldach. William Joseph Schaldach (1896-1982) was a writer on art and outdoor sporting, editor for Field and Stream, and most notably an important American wildlife artist. The book offered here is beautifully bound in full vellum with a gilt vignette of a trout rising to a mayfly on the front cover. In addition to the original art of the frontispiece, there are 60 full-page reproductions of Schaldach's fish art. The book is in very good condition: clean, bright, and tight; some rubbing and discoloration of the velum.. SIGNED. Limited First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Dust Jacket, as Issued. Illus. by William J. Schaldach. Folio - over 12" - 15" tall. Book.
