Privately Printed in a Ltd. Edition for The Sylvan Press, New York, 1947. This edition features Baudelaire's decadent poetry (from The Flowers of Evil and Paris Spleen) with evocative line drawings by Beresford Egan and C. Bower Alcock. Beautiful and dramatic enactments of the themes and subjects of Baudelaire's poems in the style of Aubrey Beardsley. Hardcover tan cloth cover with brown decorations and text. 7-1/2" x 10-1/4", 142 pages. The only defect some wear to the top of the spine (see photos) otherwise unmarked and excellent.
