A boy's adventure novel concerning a mysterious man from South America, who discovered a gas lighter than helium or hydrogen used to fly a submarine and win a war. By Percy Francis Westerman, prolific author of children's literature and adventure books concerned with military and naval themes.Illustrated with black and white plates. Dated from Jisc, a later impression with no advertisements to the rear. In the original publisher's full cloth binding with illustration to front board, decorations to spine. Externally smart with minor shelf wear only, boards and spine lightly bumped to extremities. Previous ownership inscriptions to endpapers, dated 1919 and 1977, with a stamp from Moravian Sunday School to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Spotting to first few leaves, pages browned as usual with the type of paper used. Very Good
