New York: Gnome Press. First Edition. Very Good/Very Good. 1951, 1952, 1953. Three volumes, all first edition, first printings and all in first state bindings and jackets where applicable, as per Currey. Bound in publisher's original cloth-affect boards in original unclipped dust jackets, ranging from Very Good to Very Good+, with light edge wear to books; all jackets a bit worn at extremities and with rear white panels slightly dust-soiled. Foundation exhibits light bumping to corners, former owner bookplate to front pastedown; vertical creasing to front and rear panel of jacket near spine and strip of offsetting at edges from and old-style jacket protector. Several faint, small water-drops to the covers of Foundation and Empire, jacket spine panel faded to yellow, stain to foot of spine mostly only visible from the blindside. Second Foundation exhibits at ding to the bottom of the front board, with corresponding wear to the jacket. A lovely set of this epic science-fiction trilogy.
