THE FRUIT STONERS, Dutton, 1935, first American edition, some tanning to the gutters between the end-papers and paste-downs no doubt due to the chemical reaction between the glue and the paper chosen by the publisher, a hint of fraying to the head of the spine, else vg+ in g/vg dust-wrapper with some chipping and silverfish wear. A '333' title. Allegedly 1/2,000 copies.

Oxford: Basil Blackwood Blue cloth with colour illustration pasted to the front yellow lettering above and below, with title and author. 32 pages, illustrated with line drawings. 6.75 X 8.25 inches. Undated,. Number 62 in this Blackwell series of children's titles, which includes other titles by Algernon Blackwood . Printed at The Shakespeare Head press..The artist's name on the illustrations is not entirely discernible, looks like "Marion Collins" or someting close.There is a brief gift inscriotion on the front free endpaper dated 1926 or 1936.Alll the line illustrations have been coloured in, although quite carefully and neatly. Externally the cloth is rather faded with a touch of wear to the corners and spine ends. A good sound copy.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket.
