1.º Volume pertence a 3.ª edição e 2.º Volume a 2.ª edição. Consta nas folhas de rosto dos seguintes volumes: 4.º Volume - Com uma carta-posfácio de Norberto Lopes; 5.º Volume - O Spinolismo. Os volumes apresentam dimensões diferentes respectivamente: 1.º, 2.º, 4.º e 7.º com 20,5x14; 3.º com 18x12; 5.º e 6.º com 20x13.

Artur Portela Filho é nome literário do escritor, tradutor e jornalista português Artur Guerra Jardim Portela (Lisboa, Mercês, 1937 Abrantes, 2020), nome que usou até aos anos 70. Colaborou em jornais como: A Capital, República, Portugal Hoje, Jornal do Fundão, na estação de rádio TSF e pontualmente na RTP.
