About This Item
New York: McGraw-Hill, 1966. First edition. Hardcover. Good. Until the end of World War II, it could safely be assumed that most overseas Chinese still considered China to be their homeland. The end of colonial rule in Southeast Asia coupled with the Communist ascendancy in China, amongst other things, brought about a reassessment by not only the Chinese emigrants, but also their host communities as well. Here Williams charts that change as the overseas Chinese began to become assimilated into their new homelands. The author also assess the implications of these changes on US foreign policy. 143 pages. For further details, please see the scanned contents page. Weight 0.5kg. Post free within Malaysia This is an ex-library book with a small label on the spine and further labels on the inside front cover and on a front end paper. There are neat stamps on the text block, inside front cover and the title page. The binding is tight, the text is clear and there is no tanning throughout.
