About This Item

New York: Harper and Row, 1976. First Printing. Hardcover. Very good/very good. Cloth backed boards, very good or better, inscribed to Charles Mann, the legendary rare books librarian at Penn State, where West was an English professor for many years. In 1970 West published "Words for a Deaf Daughter," about his then-eight-year-old daughter, who had some developmental issues, and whose therapeutic treatment, at that point, worked.
