Dark red cloth, slightly rubbed, slightly more so on the spine Some slight browning and spotting of the contents.Ink ownership inscription on front endpaper with evidence of removal of small label on front pastedown. Overall a good sound copy. A novel by Orcadian author and historian J S Clouston, set in the Orkney Islands, an island group off the north coast of Scotland with a viking and Norse heritage, rather than Gaelic or Celtic 1904.
