About This Item

London: Faber & Faber Limited, 1952 . First edition. Cloth. Very Good/Very Good. 10" by 6.5". Not Stated. The first edition of this architectural and historical study of Georgian buildings in Bristol in the original dust wrapper. First edition of The Georgian Buildings of Bristol by Walter Ison in the original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrapper. A lovely work of architectural history regarding many of Bristol's well known, and lesser known, feats of Georgian architecture. Including Arno's Court, St Mary Redcliffe, The Commercial Rooms, and more. Illustrated with sixty four plates of illustrations reproduced from photographs bound in to the rear, and many in-text illustrations. Collated, complete. Walter Ison was an architectural historian, also the author of The Georgian Buildings of Bath. In the original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, very smart. There is some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. There is some wear to the dust wrapper, including some small open tears to the head of the spine and it is slightly sunned. There are also some creases to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Very Good
