Chicago: The Reilly & Lee Co, circa 1941. Later reprint. Fine in its original decorated orange cloth covered boards with black text on the spine and with a printed paper label on the front board which has only a tiny bit of rubbing to its upper edge. An octavo of 9 by 6 5/8 inches with a 1/3 inch closed tear to the cloth at the heel of the spine and very light rubbing to the cloth at the upper corners of the spine and over the tips of the boards. In a very good+, unclipped ($1.75 price is lined out) dust jacket with small chips and rubbing to the ends of the spine area, a one inch closed tear to the lower edge of the front panel, minor rubbing to the edges of the front panel and light rubbing to the fold to the front flap. 283 pages of text and illustrated with black and white, line art full pages and numerous black and white vignettes by John R. Neill. With 34 Oz Books listed on the rear flap of the dust jacket, ending with Scalawagons of Oz,which was first printed in 1941. A very bright and clean copy with no prior ownership markings of any kind. (Bienvenue, p.110)
