About This Item
New York: Thomas Yoseloff, 1963. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good +/very good. Illustrated with almost 200 b/w photos and illustrations, this lovely book never promises to be a complete history of Porcelain and Faïence, but it certainly covers a lot of ground. From the Orient (including a section strictly on Japan), to Faïence in Europe, which includes such topics as tureens and tankards, majolica, and Delft. There are also sections on Porcelain in Europe, and a section devoted strictly to artists. Bound in white cloth, 4to, 239 pages; some slight discoloration of cloth at top edge of boards, otherwise clean. Some toning to dust jacket, small, repaired tear on back of wrapper at top. Dust wrapper in Brodart.
