Toronto: The Musson Book Company. Very Good- with no dust jacket. 1900. Later Printing. Hardcover. Green cloth boards show some shelf wear, gift inscription on FFEP. Gilt stamped titles on spine quite faded. A light lean. ; A tight solid book, green cloth covered boards with gilt stamped titles and design. Undated but appears to be circa 1900. The book was originally published in 1877. ; B&W Illustrations; Small 8vo 7½" - 8" tall; 580 pages; "It draws upon the historical background of the city of Quebec for its characters, and tells its story through two intertwining plotlines. The first is of the lady Angélique de Méloizes, Madame de Péan, while the second is of Coronel Pierre Philibert, the son of a prosperous merchant." .
