"The Grandissimes" is a novel by George Washington Cable, first published in 1880. It is set in New Orleans in the early 19th century and explores the social and racial tensions of the time. The story revolves around the Grandissime family, a wealthy Creole family, and their relationships with other prominent families in the city.
