Lesberg, was one of New Yorks leading broadcast personalities, covered international and diplomatic affairs at the United Nations; met and befriended several heads of state of emerging nations, mostly in Africa, (the subject of current work) and later served as their political advisor. He was, at the time of this books publication, perhaps best known as a peripatetic collector of classical as well as unusual recipes from all parts of the world; this collection was gathered from the world's greatest chefs and restaurants during a time when he was able to travel un-hindered into all corners of the world.
