About This Item

New York: Simon and Schuster, 1943. 2nd US printing. Hardcover. Very Good. A quite scarce murder mystery novel written and set during the WWII London blitz.  The name, Nap Lombard, was a pseudonym for the married authors, Pamela Hansford Johnson, a British novelist and Gordon Neil Stewart, and Australian journalist.  Being published during the war, it is now scarce, although a paperback edition of the original British title, Murder's A Swine, was published by the British Library in 2021.  This copy is from the 2nd printing of the US edition.  The original UK edition is even rarer.

This copy is very good in black cloth with gilt titles on the spine.  Minor scuffing at the corners and spine ends and the book leans a bit.  An ink stamp from a Montana bookseller is at the bottom of the ffep, and a small label of another book shop is affixed to the bottom of the rear pastedown.  No other marks or damage.  No dust jacket.
