London: Williams & Norgate Ltd. ,. Good+ in Fair dust jacket. 1949. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. Red cloth boards with gilt titling to the spine and front board. In the original publisher's pictorial dustjacket. The boards are clean and tight. The dustjacket is not price clipped, and is 98% complete, but has some chipping to the top edges/corners, a long crease across the inner front flap, a sliver of loss to the blank top of the d/j spine/corners, and the whole jacket is somewhat grubby and discoloured, with some light marks/stains here and there. The page fore-edges are dusty and lightly foxed (brown spotted). Internally NO Inscriptions or Marks. Text block very clean and sound. 128 pp. Illustrated with b/w photographs. Overall a Clean and Tight copy in a near complete but somewhat grubby dustjacket which is now in a new protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover and now looks pretty good. Contents cover: - The Evolution of each breed; Outstanding Sires and Dams; Choosing a puppy; Standard of Points; Breeding; Methods of Training & care ; The Show Ring; Diseases & Remedies, etc. Images available on Request. ; 8vo 7½" - 8" tall .
