Octavo; tan cloth, blocked and titled in dark brown and white on spine and front cover; burgundy topstain; dustjacket; 312pp. Bookplate signed by the author loosely laid in. Subtle fading to topstain, with a small rubbed spot to same, else a tight, Fine copy. Dustjacket is unclipped (priced $4.95), gently spine-sunned, with light shelfwear and a short tear at lower edge of rear panel; Very Good+. Clean copy of the author's first book, a novel following the struggles of three down-and-outer's in Louisiana.
