New York: Henry Holt and Company, 1911. A young man's errant snowball throw strikes a beautiful young lady. When he offers to make amends, she asks him to deliver a letter for her and he is drawn into a mystery which could cost them both their lives. Hunting wrote extensively in a number of genres, including relition, science fiction, and silent movies in Hollywood. Hubin lists this as his only mystery. Red boards with bright gilt lettering, spine slightly darkened. Bumped and rubbed with a bit of wear and fraying at the corners and spine ends. Hinges loose with the front hinge cracked, binding cocked. Uncommon first edition.. First Edition.. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Marchand, J. N. (Frontispiece).
