FROME: BUTLER AND TANNER, 1948 Grey paper covers with blue printed titles to front. (Sewn Paperback)190 x 125 mm approx. 48 pp 3 full colour plates First Printing 1948. Description by the then Dean of Wells of the 39 embroidered heraldic stall-banners and a note of the persons who worked them. A task organised by the Friends of Wells Cathedral following their coming into being in 1933 and completed in the 1940's. Please see our images of the actual book offered for sale for further details and condition. Good (Booklet- shelf rubbing to covers with a 4.5 cm approx tear to front hinge at top. Red ink block printed "Return to " stamped to reverse of front cover. No other notable defects).
