Gently bumped with just a touch of rubbing at the edges, faint tanning to the edges of the text block. Jacket lightly rubbed with tiny chips to the edges, a bit of foxing to the rear flap, in Brodart. Laid in is an envelope containing a 2 page handwritten letter, dated 2/3/55, which states, in part "Doubleday will be publishing "Happy Returns" shortly" and is signed Cyril H. Coles.. Inscribed By the Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good.
Synopsis
The ghostly cousins from *Brief Candles* are back to help a young relative who is being pursued by a determined widow, managing to help out with bank robbers, a duel, and a murder along the way.
