VG- (Ex-art library, with faint marks on and near outer spines, no slipcases; average wear to binding edges; i.d. marks on outermost pages, incl. rear pockets and cards; pages are nice and color plates are esp. vivid.). 3 vols. Brown cloth, gilt edges all around; 572 pp., BW illus. and tipped-in color plates, some fold-outs. The complete three-volume set outlining the Japanese paintings and drawings collected by Michael Harari. With an introduction by J. Hillier. The annotated and illustrated catalogue presents 342 specific pieces. Volume 1 contains examples of Genre and Ukiyo-e school (excluding Hokusai and his school and Hiroshige); Volume 2 contains Hokusai and his school and Hiroshige; and Volume 3 contains Kano, Decorative, Nanga and Maruyama / Shijo schools, Independents, Fans of various schools. A scarce find, for all three volumes to be together, since the first two were released in 1970 and the third came around in 1973.
