About This Item
Oakland, CA: Sombre Reptiles, n.d.. First printing. 17 x 23 inches, letterpress broadside printed in three colors on Somerset paper, with deckle on three sides, signed by the designer/printer, MaryAnn Hayden. Two tiny pinholes in top corners from hanging, otherwise essentially as new.
In this design by the inimitable MaryAnn Hayden, the title quotation is dwarfed by the bold, architectonic illustration, created from linear material arranged in the bed of the press. An artist's proof, so designated, from a tiny edition of only a handful of copies.
