About This Item
New York: Harper, 1935. First Edition, First Printing. Signed presentation copy inscribed by Thornton Wilder on the half-title with a terrific quotation from page 36 of the book: “For Florence from Thornton with all his best - University of Chicago. April 1935, ‘I didn’t put myself through college for four years and go through a long difficult religious conversion, in order to have the same ideas as the rest of the world.’”. Tiny bit of fraying at extremities, a very good copy in original cloth in a very good dust jacket with a few tiny chips, with a couple of small residue marks from removed tape on the inside.
