119 printed pages (sporadic light foxing). Printed by Jules Didot aine, rue du Pont-de-Lodi, nº 6, Paris, in a clear diamond sized type. All edges speckled. Charming German marbled endpapers. Black silk place-keeper. 60 x 95mm. Contemporary red quarter calf over French shell marbled paper covered boards. Spine with gilt lettering and tooled floral leaves and tendrils at head and foot, between single gilt ruled borders. The epic poem in French is about Henri le Grand (Henry iv of France). One of Classiques en Miniature series of publications, individually published between 1824-7. Bondy, 90. Nauroy, 41. Welsh, 6994. Not in Spielmann. WorldCat locates just two copies of this edition (in the National Libraries of France and of Spain).
