Quarto; publisher's tan cord-bound card wrappers printed in gilt, yapp edges; 32pp.; photographic portrait frontispiece, three leaves of plates. Moderate wear to wrapper extremities including small loss at top fore-edge corner of upper cover, minor soil, textblock lightly foxed, else a Very Good, sound copy overall. Inscribed and signed by the author to University of North Carolina professor of mathematics George William McCoy (1877-1963) in year of publication.
