for Henry Colburn, London, 1818-1820. First edition. Published 1818-1820. 5 volumes 8vo (6 3/4 x 4 1/4 inches), pages: 237;251;264;245 (with advertisement leaf at end for "Popular Novels"); & 243. Contemporary full tan calf. Spines gilt ruled and with burgundy lettering and numbering pieces. Upper joint of volume 1 cracked but firm, piece chipped from headband of this volume. Some foxing or tanning, some rubbing to extremities but generally good. Bound with the half-titles. Anonymous.
