Antwerp: Joannes Van Soest 13th edition, after 1688 before 1741. Hardcover. Fair. Engraved pictorial titlepage +copperplates (26 of which many are nearly full page and three are in two scenes divided by a frame-line).The emblematic plates have one signed Boutatts + half a dozen mainly floral woodcut tailpieces. 8vo contemprary brown leather on 5 raised bands with gilt in the compartments [lacks spine label/scuffing to covers and a few pin holes and one lacuna to spine/lower corners worn] first 19 pages un numbered 20-372pp LACKING Oorlof [=p373] & 374-5[=Liedeken] These three pages supplied in Facsimile. Index is missing. Title page is dusty and some fingering throughout. The two pastedowns have inscriptions "Desen Bock Joc aen joannes Van Poppel den 18 February Anno 1757" & "Desen Bock hoor tot aen Matthys Lambertus van Poppel woonende in de been houders straedt in Sinte cristoffel anno 1745 tot antwerpen" There is also a Bibliotec stamp below the front inscription and a few pencil notes.
