Corbinian Khamm was a 17th-century Benedictine monk of St. Ulrich, who is best remembered for his magnum opus 'Hierarchia Augustana'. This enormous work is a chronological history of Augsburg focusing on cathedrals, colleges, origins, and church and political history. This first volume, which was published in 1709, deals with the history of cathedrals and ecclesiastical history. Also included are 21 full-page engravings.
